FACILITIES
We recognize that science is the engine of industrialization
OUR SCHOOL FACILITIES
These facilities are designed to encourage students Preparing them for further education and future careers.
Computer Labs
Korona Secondary School is working towards constructing and developing a modern and fully digitalized computer laboratory through funding from the City Council's own-source revenue. The facility will provide students with improved access to computers and digital learning resources, enabling them to develop essential Information and Communication Technology (ICT) skills.
The computer laboratory will support classroom learning by giving students opportunities to acquire practical computer knowledge, conduct educational research, access digital learning materials, and develop skills in areas such as word processing, data management, programming, internet use, and other digital applications. The school aims to create a technology-friendly learning environment that prepares students to confidently participate in an increasingly digital world.
Chemistry Labs
Korona Secondary School's Chemistry Department is equipped with two (2) laboratories that provide students with valuable opportunities to complement classroom theory with practical learning experiences. These laboratories enable teachers to conduct experiments and demonstrations that help students understand important chemical concepts more effectively.
Through practical sessions, students are encouraged to observe, investigate, analyze results, and develop scientific problem-solving skills. The laboratories also provide an environment where learners can gain hands-on experience with appropriate laboratory equipment and procedures while developing interest in science and related fields.
Physics Lab
Korona Secondary School's Physics Department has one dedicated physics laboratory that provides a practical learning environment for students, particularly those studying advanced-level Physics in Forms Five and Six.
The laboratory enables learners to connect theoretical concepts with practical applications through experiments, demonstrations, measurements, and scientific investigations. By engaging in practical activities, students develop observation, analytical, measurement, and problem-solving skills that are essential for further studies and careers in science, engineering, technology, and other related fields.
The school continues to recognize the importance of strengthening practical learning facilities to ensure that students receive meaningful and comprehensive physics education.
Biology Lab
Korona Secondary School's Biology Department has one dedicated laboratory that supports practical teaching and learning. The laboratory provides students with an appropriate environment to explore biological concepts through experiments, observations, investigations, and other practical activities.
Through laboratory-based learning, students are able to relate classroom theories to real-life biological processes and develop important scientific skills such as observation, classification, analysis, recording, and interpretation of results. The facility also encourages learners to develop curiosity and a deeper understanding of living organisms, their environments, and biological systems.
Korona Secondary School remains committed to improving its science facilities and creating an environment where students can learn through both theoretical instruction and practical experience.
